I have been making bobbin lace for most of my life. About twenty years ago, I started to paint lace bobbins for myself and then gradually began to paint bobbins for friends. Over the next few years, I started to sell bobbins to lace groups across the UK, at shows and by post. As demand increased, I decided that I would like to develop this into a business - at this point, I opened my Etsy shop.
More recently, I started to sell a range of books, unpainted lace bobbins, lacemaking equipment and tools. I am planning to stock a wider range of products in the future. I post lace bobbins, books and equipment worldwide including to Australia, US, Canada, Japan, France, Germany, Scandinavia etc.
As well as being an active lace maker and designer, I served for three years on
The Lace Guild
Executive Committee and have taught workshops at The Lace Guild Convention. I have been a member of Edinburgh Lace Club since moving to Scotland in 1998 and am a member of
The Westhope Group.
