Books by Gilian Dye - Book 1, Gold & Silver Edgings, Sixteenth & Seventeenth Century Lace

An A5 sized 60 page soft backed publication describing the techniques and materials required for the making of sixteenth & seventeenth century lace. The book concentrates on the gold and silver lace edgings and is illustrated with examples including gloves from the V&A and Alnwick Castle, coifs in the Burrell collection etc. The book is well illustrated with colour photographs, and diagrams.

In addition, a reading list is provided to assist with further research.
