Books by Gilian Dye - Book 4, Insertions & Borders, Sixteenth & Seventeenth Century Lace

An A5 sized 60 page soft backed publication describing the techniques and materials required for the making of sixteenth & seventeenth century lace. The book concentrates on insertions and wider borders with examples from a range of sources including portraits, pattern books and surviving lace including from the National Museums of Scotland collection. The book is well illustrated with colour photographs and diagrams.

In addition, a reading list is provided to assist with further research.
