Tail Catcher - Antique Finish Design

Tail catchers are very useful for securing and tidying stray and loose threads on the reverse of embroideries etc. The wire loop slides under existing stitching until it is next to the loose tail of thread. The hook is threaded through the loop, catching the tail, and then the loop is pulled back to bury the tail in the work.

Both parts of the tool are joined by a small silver chain keeping both parts together.
